If fasting was a drug that you could take in pill form, it would be the most sought-after addictive drug in the world.
It would be a billion-dollar industry by itself.
The Clarity. The Energy. The Focus. The Euphoria. The Confidence. The Belief. The Connection to Source. The Alignment with Self. The Productivity. The Realisations. The Healed Trauma. The Self Work. The Healing of Old Injuries. The Physical Health Benefits. The Cleansing.
The removing of previous, seemingly unmovable barriers.
It’s one of the greatest teachers, and most powerful tools that we have available to us as humans.
And the only price of entry is water, knowledge, discipline, willpower (and a few detox symptoms haha).
I just finished a 10 day fast (8 days water, 2 days coconut water), and it completely transformed my entire reality.
I got into deeper alignment with my true being after years of frustration & pain of not knowing exactly where I fit into this world.
I connected to my deeper, true purpose.
I wrote a short book in 4 days.
I rebranded and relaunched my business.
I healed some old injuries & dental issues that had plagued me for the past 2 years.
It was one of the most profound experiences I’ve had in my life.
To be fair, I have been working extremely hard on myself for the past 2 years to turn my life around.
And the skills I’d developed were what allowed me to achieve many of these things.
However, it was the fast that gave me the clarity, confidence, and space to execute.
I had done a 44 day fast in the past in my mid-twenties, but if I’m completely honest, it was more from a place of ego & to prove something.
And I avoided a lot of the inner work and trauma that came up.
However this time it was much more intentional.
From a place of openness, & surrender to process any & all things that came up.
To stop hiding from my work (both inner and outer) & to be seen by the world.
To stop waiting for a time to finally be all I could be & remove anything limiting that was holding me back.
It was truly a life-changing experience that I’m extremely appreciative of.
It’s something that ancient cultures used to use to master themselves to be all they could be.
It’s one of the most powerful practices there is for self-discipline.
And it doesn’t cost a thing.
Something that drives the drug companies mad, as they can’t put this into a pill no matter how hard they try. Fuckers.
You can’t cheat nature.
